But Debra doesn't pull out and continue driving. She just looks at him, silently, her left foot still up on the dash next to the steering wheel, her hand between her legs. She watches his facial expressions, a kind of crude road map of where his mind is going. Outside the car, he was boyish and even slightly innocent. Now, he appears hungry, filled with a universal desire.
